Life is amazing! Yes, it can also be crazy, tragic, monotonous, hard, boring, and a host of other things. But really, truly, it’s amazing. YOUR life. No matter where you’re at in your story, there are miracles happening all around you. In fact, you yourself are one. It would be an absolute joy and honor to help you see that by creatively capturing the true you through my photography.

Remember as a kid when you just knew with all your heart what you were gonna be when you grew up? I’m not talking about the answer you gave your parents and teachers.  I’m talking the one you only told your best friend or no one at all because it was so fragile that you couldn’t bear the thought of someone laughing at it and crushing you. My dream was becoming a photographer for National Geographic Magazine (astronaut or pilot was a close second). I wanted the war assignments or the “climb-this-frozen-waterfall-while-capturing-breathtaking- photos-before-you-plummet-to-your-death” assignments. I don’t jest. My heart still jumps at the thought! I tell you these things because after being married for almost 17 years to the man who also still makes my heart jump and has helped me see so many dreams through, I get to add one more on: Photographer. Hopefully yours. No, it’s not a National Geographic assignment. It’s better.  Almost daily I catch myself smiling and sometimes saying out loud, “This is what I do? YESSSSSSSSSS!”

There’s nothing comparable to being the One and Only to the man God brought into my life and to the four ridiculously awesome yet down-to-earth kids we call our own. They lift me up in ways I could’ve never imagined and encourage me at my craft even when they don’t know it. So, for me, family and photography go hand in hand, making me come to life!  It’s mind-boggling sometimes how things work out.  I look forward to meeting you and/or continuing to work with you over the years as you celebrate your life’s special moments.
